10/19-We finished up looking at the Civil War today. We also looked at the Gettysburg address and how the war changed the tide of the war, and the speech changed the purpose of the war. This war was now being fought for more than just reunited the nation. Now there was a moral compas to the war
10/20-Students had a quickwrite on how things would change now that around 4 million slaves would be free. We looked at the start of the Reconstruction and how America would recover after the war. We also started to look at the Reconstruction amendments. 13-15. The test is coming up this tuesday!!!
Government
10/19-About 20 minutes was spent on notebooks. After that we started unit 3 the executive branch. Students each were given a role of the President and had to find an example from history where he reflected that attribute.
10/20-Students presented their roles from yesterday. Each group gave 2 examples after defining the definition
